TERMS AND CONDITIONS
My aim is to provide a professional and competent service, tailored to your needs. In order to do so within the constraints of a busy surgery, the following are my basics terms and conditions.
Booking Form

Please use the booking form to confirm all sessions.

Bookings are only confirmed after the booking form has been submitted and terms and conditions accepted.
Sessions

To keep things simple, I charge an hourly rate for the hours worked. For example, a session with 15x10min appointments would typically equate to 150 minutes of consulting time and 30 minutes of admin time.

Minimum length of time for an individual appointment is 10 minutes (face to face or telephone).

The admin time is for admin directly generated from the consultations, i.e. letters or dictations for referrals, chasing results and phone calls.

I prefer the admin time to be split during the session, i.e 10 minutes admin time after every 5 patients

If I am needed for anything else- seeing extras, managing correspondence, results, repeat prescriptions or to carry out visits (see below) then this would be charged in addition, at the agreed hourly rate.
Repeat Prescriptions

Medical indemnity firms state that locum doctors requested to sign repeat prescriptions should review each patient's case notes regardless of the system used to manage repeats. Please bear this in mind if you are asking me to undertake this work- I will of course be obliging but will take due diligence over the work and need the extra admin time to do so.
Payment

Please make the payment via BACS or cheque within 2 weeks.

Failure to pay within 30 days of the receipt of the invoice or provision of service (whichever is later) will result in a late payment charge as per The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Pension

I trade as a limited company and thus not part of the NHS pension scheme. There is no additional cost to the practice other than the agreed rate.
Cancellation

Cancellation within 7 days of the session(s) will result in 90% charge for the session(s), between 7 to 14 days 50% charge for the session(s), between 14 to 28 days 25% charge for the session(s)
